<p> What if you could gain experience and skills just like in a game? Would you sacrifice your soul to be a hero? </p> <p> Alec Lee has always been interested in legends, fables, and role-playing games and dreams of becoming like the heroes found in them with magical powers and the ability to actually make a difference in the world. Fortunately for him, magic is as common in this world as hologram and hover technology. However, only a select amount of people can actually wield it in the form of mystical abilities called "Crafts" and Alec is not one of these lucky few. Instead, he's looked down upon by those that are so gifted as just another worthless nobody, but Alec is not going to let this stop him from searching for a way to achieve his dream anyway since in a world filled with magic, he believes there must be a sliver of possibility for him obtaining magic himself. This search leads him to the Craft Pages, mysterious items that imbue people with the abilities of past Craft users but also carry lingering remnants of those they came from as well. </p> <p> Now, Alec is faced with the choice of risking losing who he is in order to obtain their power or instead becoming a hero as solely himself and proving to the world the worth of a giftless person like him. </p>
