Sixteen-year-old Julia Grayson is a normal girl in an ordinary world. However, when she studies abroad in Romania, she is kidnapped by the immortal Vladimir Drakulya, who has an even darker agenda for world domination. As Julia contemplates her reason for abduction, she falls for Vladimir's Werewolf, Roland, who happens to be her first love. She also befriends one of Vladimir's mistresses, Lelagül, who among the three women Vladimir keeps captive, is strong willed and tries to help Julia despite Vladimir's threats. As Vladimir makes circumstances more daunting for Julia, her love for Roland and even her family, are put in jeopardy.

Vladimir cannot kill Julia, and he desires to know why. He also continues his malevolent plans against humanity with his six-hundred-year-old government called Eléston. However, Eléston has taken advantage of his century-long comatose (caused by, none other than Bram Stoker and his novel), including the Vice President of Eléston, Dominick Vadas, his longtime foe. Vladimir's memories relentlessly torture him. His past motivates him to be cruel and brutal. He hates mankind, so he determines to watch humanity burn. And Julia is caught in the crossfire. Author and former friend, Bram Stoker, is also blamed, betraying Vladimir by publishing DRACULA. After all, it was Stoker who labeled Vladimir as a monster.
