When everything about your life is inconvenient, it doesn't take much to ruin your day. The singular toilet in the complex you live in could be busy at the wrong time. Your coworker could be a bit late to work. Perhaps your usual path home was blocked because of classism, and now you lose another hour and a half to walking to work every day. And just maybe, because of that, you end up stepping before a portal leading to another world, one that is just about to release hell upon the ghettos.

This was exactly what happens to Freddy, and a lucky can of beans is the only reason he is now alive.

Having lived a miserable life, Freddy had expected to spend many years saving money to become an archhuman. So one can only imagine his surprise when a prime vestige appears in his bed the morning after surviving the tragedy, one carrying an incredible talent. Unfortunately, that talent isn't suitable for combat. And Freddy was done slaving away for a wage.

His trade, however, doesn't get him much in return. Acquiring 1% lifesteal and a water affinity certainly doesn't qualify him to be a hero.

But in a world of elitist arch-humans, deeply rooted social prejudice, and power games that result in many people going missing...

Perhaps being a hero isn't the wisest choice.

What to expect:

-This is not a LitRPG! There is no system, and there are no stats!

-The pacing varies. A slow burn at first.

-Tons of experimentation with powers.

-Lots of struggle with a gritty, determined main character. Starts weak, eventually overpowered.

-Long chapters (3-5k words)

Current upload schedule: 2x a week (Tue, Fri)
