<p>Agnet Krause is a seasoned operative, but after a devastating loss, she's struggling to find her footing. When she's assigned to lead a team of misfit operatives on a last minute mission to investigate "monsters" at the Ridgelands Penal Farm, she's skeptical. Especially since the team includes a pair of semi-psychic Perceivers; those weirdos always spell trouble.</p> <p>But horrifying apparitions haunt the Farm, and the entire inmate population refuses to work the fields. The colony can't survive without the harvest income, and the urban center can't lose another food source.</p> <p>When Agnet and the team delve into the mystery, they find the situation is far more complicated than anybody suspected. A mysterious presence beckons the Perceivers from over the ridge. And traces of a sinister plot surface, a plot that threatens not just the inmates but the entire society. The team must use all of their training and wits to survive and head off an impending catastrophe.</p> <p>The work presented here is a completed second draft of a novel, part of a sci/fi-fantasy fusion series exploring a multiverse of diverse characters trying to avoid The End. You will find some typos and mild plot inconsistencies as I've been editing the story on the go.</p> <p>Any constructive opinions and title suggestions would be most appreciated. Expect some violence and some evil, but the story isn't especially dark.</p> <p>If you've just found this book and are interested in reading, don't delay.
