Wip loves nothing more than beating things up, and the dungeon of Anypaxia is more than happy to provide. Monsters, who feel no pain or sympathy, are the perfect punching bags for a battle-freak like Wip. In theory, it's the perfect recipe for fun.

In reality, however, there are strangling rules that must be followed. Wip's reluctant fence, Stella, a city employee who performs administrative tasks for dungeoneers like him, has put her badge on the line for her new—and only—client. Fed up with Wip's shenanigans, Stella gives him an ultimatum: find a party, or else. There's one slight problem.

Wip isn't fit for society, and neither is the party he assembles.

A simple plan to make friends and fight monsters quickly devolves into a tangle of interpersonal conflicts, rising debts, and run-ins with the Black Talon Cartel. The burdens that each new party member bears begin to add up, and the party's fun is soon buried under the consequences of their impulsive actions.

A dungeoneer's job is to fight monsters, but how do you fight the monsters that you make?

 Post Schedule

Posting schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

I'll also be taking very short (one week / three release maximum) breaks at the end of each arc. An arc is usually about 10 to 20 chapters in length.

The purpose of this is to give me time to polish up the next arc. I'll let you know when this happens, if it happens.

 Author's Notes

Even though the story is marked as progression fantasy, there won't be all that much progression in book 1. I'm using that book to map out the characters and do some extensive worldbuilding.

I care about this story. I want it to shine. However, even though each chapter goes through an extensive planning, drafting, and editing process, mistakes sometimes slip through the cracks. Let me know if there are errors or if you feel certain parts of the story aren't working.
