When a heartbroken old mage attempts to revive his recently deceased wife with magic, he inadvertently creates an undead being that feeds on mana, the lifeforce of human souls. When the being takes hold of you, your mana is corrupted, and you become one of them, the living undead. This magical phenomena, appropriately named Corruption, spreads like wildfire.

Back on Earth, seventeen year old Kenneth Griffin is socially awkward and a textbook introvert, which makes him by default a gamer of unparalleled degeneracy. But when he has an unfortunate encounter with the serial killer known as Truck-kun, he is reborn into a world taken over by what appears to be zombies. And unsurprisingly, zombies are alot more fun when you're facing them through a screen.

However, to his surprise, these zombies also grant exp! Plus there's a System and a skill tree and points to allocate. He'd also been given a special class "Lightbringer," where if he reaches the very height of his potential, he will unlock a skill called "The Cure." But will he live long enough to reach it?

A Litrpg, but pretty light on the system mechanics and blue boxes. I like the idea of guaging strength progression through levels and stats, but I don't go overboard with the numbers. The MC has a special because-I'm-the-protagonist class, but he's pretty weak early game. Late game he may or may not pop off.

 Thanks for reading~

cover made with enhanced shutter stock license.
