<p>"Darkness will return, and its herald shall be the miserable."</p> <p>Hey guys! I'm writing this just to give more context to the story. I essentially wanted to write a fantasy novel with progression that does not rely on systems or levels as the means for improvement. (Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore stories like that, but I wanted to make a story that takes a different perspective to magic and getting stronger.)</p> <p>STORY INSPIRATIONS</p> <p>When writing this story, I was heavily influenced by the narrative perspectives taken by Martial World and Solo Leveling. I wanted to depict a main character that is an absolute BADASS, but I didn't want to fall victim to the "MC IS THE ONLY IMPORTANT CHARACTER" syndrome.</p> <p>I also like adding in touches of romance and heartwarming moments here and there. I believe emotions and interactions between characters are what truly make stories more immersive. As for the world-building aspect, I took inspiration from Overlord and One piece when constructing Alteria. There will be political and socio-political issues, though they will not be boring I PROMISE!</p> <p>With all that being said, I hope that you enjoy the story of ShadowBorne.</p> <p>\( ゚ヮ゚)/ HUZZAH!</p>
