<p> William wakes up in what he can only describe as a psychiatric treatment facility. The doctor that greets him explains that he is suffering from short term amnesia, and he takes her at her world because...well...his first question was to ask her his name. </p> <p> She explains to him that he is there to be a part of a study, testing the feasibility of treating mental illness through deep dive simulated reality. In William's case, a construct of his fragmented memories, skimmed from his mind by a sophisticated artificial intelligence in the hope that experiencing them will aid him in uncovering the rest.. </p> <p> With nothing left to lose, William signs the release form and wakes up in a bizarre digital amalgam of places that seem vaguely familiar. As he makes his first connections inside of the dream like virtual environment, he begins to remember who he was, but not all of the discoveries are welcome. </p>
