<p>Cain, a young boy, is purchased from his family by the Atherian Adventurers guild to be trained and to serve among the next generation that keep the dangers of the world at bay. Through his training bonds are formed, growth comes as he learns from his mentors about his gifts as one of the 'Resonant'. However, before he and his peers get the chance to come of age and take upon the work of their mentors in defending the lands an unforeseen calamity sweeps across the world, leaving it in scarred broken remains, with Cain and the other survivors of Atheria left to put the pieces of their world back together and find meaning in their survival.</p>
