<p>For thirty years, humans have battled for control of Gaia Nova, the new world. With the discovery of "Plasma", a substance that both allowed for intergalactic travel and devastating weaponry, Earth capitalized on the deadly combination of a youth's small size, natural agility, and hyper-lethal Plasma weaponry by sending its children to war. These children were known as the Eaglets, and they proved to be instrumental in ending the conflict.</p> <p>———</p> <p>Four years later, the natives of Gaia Nova skulk in the desolate remains of their homeworld, resentful but observant of the peace that was forged. Meanwhile, Eaglets still patrol the planet, not as soldiers, but as students of the Lyceum; an academy for only the brightest children that Earth has to offer.</p> <p>When thirteen year old Felix Cade begins his first year at the academy however, he finds that an old threat has resurfaced, rousing the natives with the hope of liberation. With the shadow of a second war now looming, Felix becomes determined to join a Fireteam and become an Eaglet.</p>
