Synopsis

Humanity, through freak accident or intervention by a cosmic power, found itself in a hostile land cut off from all they had ever known. Over the centuries that followed they would have died under the beaks and claws of the ferocious denizens of this new dimension - Databeasts - if certain people had not been constantly exploring and pushing beyond their boundaries. The name they gave these people is an old one - Adventurers!

The goal of every adventurer is the same. To gain levels, attune element stones, and wield the awesome power of Databeasts for themselves as companions. It's a straightforward but highly dangerous life.

In the far-flung corners of the country sticks Brand and Tommen get out of their small town while they still can, both on two separate missions. In this strange land full of dangerous Databeasts survival is no guarantee and they'll have to stick together if they want to accomplish their goals. For Brand, that means finding his childhood friends. For Tommen that means becoming a great Databeast tamer.

Throughout this they'll explore mysterious and - sometimes - uncharted lands, joined by distinctive characters, whilst facing down the many civilizational crises staring down humanity and being doggedly hunted by those who would put the two young men back in their cage.
