Humanity has been examined by the Council for Integration, and found wanting, condemned to be monsters in the Last World.

The story follows Alex, a lost young person who finds her identity in the trials that follow the condemnation of her species to the Dungeons and Wildernesses of the broken world that she now finds herself in.
