Sonny Cromwell is a young man who's unsure of his future and has put college on hold to figure things out. But when his sister gives him some tough love, Sonny starts submitting job applications. Little does he know that his life is about to take a surreal turn.

On this fateful day, Sonny, after returning home from submitting job applications, sets out to return a borrowed game to his friend Lucas, only to hear the wail of firetruck sirens in the distance. Racing towards the sound, Sonny discovers that his friend's home is ablaze. Without a second thought, he charges into the inferno, hoping to save his friend.

But in a tragic twist, Sonny is impaled by a burning piece of wood, and as he struggles to save Lucas, the second floor of the building collapses on him, crushing him to death.

Or so he thinks.

As Sonny awakens, he realizes he's no longer in the burning house, but in a strange forest, wearing unfamiliar clothes. Confused and disoriented, he sets out to explore his surroundings and soon discovers a walled medieval town in the distance, complete with a towering castle. But how did he get here? And if he's not dead, then where is he? Join Sonny on an epic adventure as he tries to unravel the mystery of his bizarre situation in an unforgiving world and find his way back home.
