The sun was high, and the weather was hot, just like any other year in the summer before the harvest. Yes, just like any other midsummer's day. Or at least that's what the boy would be wishing after the day was over.

In the summer of the fourth generation, three hundred and fifty-seventh year. The great flood of the era took place, shaking the great Mage Nation of Magnus.

This is the tale of how the Grand Mage King, Arthur von Inverse Magnus, the first of his line, came to be.

This story was a concept I have had for a while. It was meant to be a lore introduction for a character I wanted to write about that I have now coined the name of. It is a bit cringy to use your own handle in a fiction you are writing but I wanted to stick to my original outline as much as possible.

This fiction will run the duration of the writathon at the very least, and may continue depending on my time and the reception it has here.
