The time of man is over. In its place monsters are taking over. Perhaps it would be better to let go? Death at least seems to think so. But to Ser Archibald, the last Spell Knight, even though the world has moved past him, he is certain there is a place for him in it. After all, without him, who can protect mankind against what is coming?
Of course, no one is as patient as Death. But to gain Ser Archibald's soul, even its patience will need to be tested. Death is not in the habit of discussing over which souls to take, but when dealing with the Last Spell Knight, Death has little choice.
It is always a negotiation, but it is clear that both parties are growing tired of it. Will Death be able to convince Archibald it is time to go? Or does the old Spell Knight still need more time?
The Last Spell Knight is a combination of short stories featuring Ser Archibald, the last Spell Knight. Many stories are standalones, and do not need to be read in order. However, especially after Discussions with Death, part 2, the events happen in sequence, so it might be more interesting reading those short stories as they've been published.
