Vergil Melt is a fifteen year old Spider-Man fanboy. He spent most of his youth fawning over the comics, movies, lore and games. One night, he goes to bed extremely late after spending most of his day playing the new Marvel Spider-Man 2 game that he pre-ordered for the release date.

When he wakes up from an 'odd' dream, he finds himself laying on a bed of grass at the top of a hill. He has no idea how he arrived there but notices how awake and strong his body feels, despite just waking up. He sees a town from the top of the hill and makes his way there for help. From here, his otherworldly journey begins.
