How do you reconcile what you've been told your whole life with what your own eyes tell you on the contrary? Ingrid Alvar is a Druidkeeper in training who strives to take care of her family, while mastering magic that allows her to manipulate nature around her. Faced with far too much pressure for someone her age, there are very few things that keep her going as strongly as the well being of her little brother. When he goes missing with nothing but a note describing his location, it's hard for her not to panic. Haphazardly leaving the city she's known for all her life with two of her friends, she sets out to find him. What she does find quickly is that the world she lives in is far different than the one she was told she was a part of. As she navigates this mess, she's forced to rework her perception of things to even have a hope at finding her brother before she finds herself dead.
