Vienne is no stranger to the strange. As the Primix Obscura she holds dominion over The World Within Worlds, a replica of Earth where magic is unconstrained. The Primix holds the words of Glory, and with them exerts control over the denizens of The Within.

Unfortunately for her, she died a few minutes ago.

On the other hand, Connor Mayfeld, bookstore employee and budding college dropout might live to see another day. Forced into The Within by Vienne's death throws, Connor is the only thing standing in the way of a new Primix crowned.

Maybe his odds aren't too great after all, seeing as he's stuck inside a giant floating bubble with all sorts of magical monsters and power-hungry lunatics.

And all they want is to cut out his heart.
