Dax died full of regret over his wasted life. But when he's given the chance to save a world on the brink of total annihilation, he jumps at the opportunity to make something of the second chance he's been given.

Join Dax as he attempts to survive in a world where humanity has been wiped out. He is tasked to explore the ruins of a dead civilization and learn from their mistakes, to unravel the secrets of magic itself, and to fight against the mysterious corruption that threatens to end the world once and for all!

Note from the author: I'm billing this as a "Survival Fantasy", unfortunately RR doesn't have a "survival" genre tag. Anyway, it's a sort of genre experiment that I wanted to try, like Terraria or Minecraft in fiction form, sort of.

I'm doing this for fun, so I won't promise anything as far as new chapters, but I write every day, so as long as I stay interested in the story, they will probably come pretty often.
