Following the events of World War III, it was revealed that supernatural entities, Nightshades, lived among us. In the wake of the war, an uneasy truce has been called between factions to mitigate further devastation to dwindling human and supernatural populations. Lieutenant Lyric Vance, a human agent of peace for the Human/Shade Coalition, finds herself thrown into the chaos and caught between two worlds.
