Akura. A world of monsters and magic, in which the gods entertain themselves through their chosen champion. Killed by bandits during a raid on his village, 16 year old Dagon is offered another chance at life by his new benefactor, the godess of hardships, Ponos.

Ponos gifts her champion with a unique abilty; the system. The system will grant the host strength so long as the host survives their different toils. But Dagon must be wary, for the goddess of hardship and turmoil didn't choose him for nothing.
