A young hunter by the name of Arin decides that he is done with hunting after the near destruction of his party by a dragon. Thanks to the effort of his friend, he is able to follow an old dream, and becomes an instructor at a prestigious acedemy, teaching the underestimated art of enchanting, a subject he knows better than anyone else.

Expecting a relaxing early retirement, he instead gets caught up in royal intrigue as someone tries to assassinate one of his students.
