1900. A little girl, Reisen, and her grandmother, Aya Sagami, live together in an old house in a village on an island near "Valhalla". One day, their village is attacked and everybody is decimated except Reisen. 5 years later, Reisen, the only survivor of the Shinigami race, is about to join a family of vampires after several years of loneliness. But life will not be easy there, especially knowing that these last ones are the murderers of the Shinigami race.
