Cultivation – The name of a fleeting rumor, unheard of before the days of the Rejuvenation. Myth. Fraud. Legend, and delusion... It holds many different names among the people of the Tou Continent.

Its nature remains obscure. No one knows of its potential, or what it may bring. Speaking of Immortality, and the mysterious Dao, it grasps the attention of few as it eludes the sharp gazes of many. For those daring to believe, the temptations of untold power outweigh any fear of the unknown, setting many on an arduous path of their own choosing.

Still, no one has yet to begin to fathom the changes it could bring to the world of mortals. Emperors still rule, and servants serve, shaping the beginnings of history. The mortals live on with their simple lives of strife and kinship, ignorant about the possibility of changing tides. Right they are to do so, some say, while others may call them foolish.

It's the dawn of the first era. The beginning of man's dreams in times immemorial. To whom it may belong, only time will tell. But, if the cultivator rises as foretold, and chases after the ever-lasting, what place could remain for those left behind, sharing the same earth?
