This is a long and winding story of a great city, a brilliant jewel nestled between a jagged mountain range and a scenic ocean. It is the great city of Venocia, the city of two gods, the city ruled by great houses of immense wealth.
The story follows Augustus, a merchant's third son he proudly bears the Castellian name, and his return to the city after a long voyage. It is both his story and the story of his new bride as she learns the customs and traditions of her new home.
