Dragons have long since been considered as one of the most revered mythological and fantastical creatures in my old world. Who would have thought that I would end up as one of their cousins, the Hydra?

Living in a world where monsters and humans wage endless wars against each other and themselves, I found it hard to complain about my lack of choice in the manner. After all, dying once was bad, but dying twice would be worse.

And, if I have to leave a trail of half-eaten corpses behind me to prevent that... Well, nobody ever claimed hydras were weaker than dragons, did they?
