Roh and Taylor have been gaming buddies for a long time. They've played countless games together, but none of them provide the same rush as Escape. This wasn't your every day run of the mill shooter. You didn't get to die and respawn countless times a round. Set to the backdrop of a post apocalyptic world, the players outfit their characters with military grade armaments and set out on timed missions, called raids, to drop into an abandoned area and loot as much as they can before getting out. The catch? Die, and all the loot on your body parishes with you, including all the stuff you brought in. Playing Escape regularly, the friends feel comfortable in their knowledge of the game. They know some of these maps like the back of their hand.

But what happens when things change drastically and they don't know why?

Escape is a short novella created with the intent of introducing readers to the universe of The Net. A place where any gamer can find their home. Straying from the usual fantasy trope, Escape is set against the backdrop of an abandoned game world where all bets are off and all your sweet, sweet loot is on the line every time you step into a raid. Escape will also offer the first glimpses into the world of The Net. What is it? How did it begin? How exactly does the world work? All questions you didn't realize you needed answers to.
