Book One of The Wandering Soul series

A story of an alternate world where small changes long, long ago made a Ninja World of a somewhat different history and different and familiar people, unusual legends and heroes, and inhuman villains. Meet a young girl that tries to survive the endless wars.

She didn't want to die; didn't want to forget. She feared to become a nobody, and worse than that was to be forgotten. So then, wasn't it ironic that she would be reborn in the Warring States Period as the product of two clans. She might as well have just put a bull's eye on her back. Sakuya was likely to die as a nobody at best, hated and killed early at worst. Just another body in a sea of corpses.

If she truly wanted even a small chance of avoiding that fate, there was really only one option for her. Cheat, manipulate others, abuse the universe, use whatever was at her disposal and fight for another day.

She was no hero, despite what her self-preservation had ended up causing.

The story involves complex themes like multiple universe theory, reincarnation, multiple timelines, body horror, human experimentation, abuse of power, monsters man-made and not, fighting, largely PCs, canon divergence, Alternative universe and more.

It will also be part of a rather long series that leads into various worlds and fandoms, taking place over many lives, with actions and events causing changes in people and other events as things go on.

For instance: The main character is experiencing her first rebirth here, but a few people have been reborn in this time period and later ones with memories of other timelines that she had influenced things, so they would likely react differently from how they were in 'Canon'.
