For centuries, the Ainzworths have ruled over the land of Ecclesia as kings and queens, their power absolute. However, the increasing influence and power of nobles along with the rise of corrupt officials plunged the nation into chaos, making the once venerable kingdom into a sliver of what it was in the past. As the king was reduced to a mere figurehead, feudal lords began fighting each other for a stake of territory in a land where the strong trampled the weak, where righteousness and justice were just a liability, and where schemes ran rampant.

After participating in a failed rebellion, Lucian and Riley go on the run, struggling to survive against the turbulent times. Hunted, and with pretty much no place to go, the two decide to take on their last remaining course of action: To fight. Unbeknownst to them, their journey will uncover a plot that threatens to revive a mystic power long thought to be extinct.

This is a kingdom building novel, or well, at least it tries to be one. It has a slow start, but you can expect lots of strategy and action in most battles, worldbuilding and a fair degree of character development. Oh, and a little bit of comedy here and there.

Each chapter is around 2k to 5k words. I'll update whenever I can. You can also check the glossary for a deeper understanding of the world in ALP and more info about the main characters.
