A 16 years old young man named Kaiji lived his life as an orphan inside the Congregation's church. However, one day, a turmoil occurred at the Imperial Palace and everyone in the kingdom had sunk into a state of chaos and disorder.

For an unknown reason, Royal Knights began to enter the church where he lived and forcibly took all the orphans, as well as him. Those children who persistently resisted against them died. But fortunately, he met someone on the way who promised to save him from this predicament...
