For centuries, the Dagoldan Empire has held sway over almost the entire continent of Parovia, keeping power due to a single force - the ancient Dragon Riders of Helgoth, who serve as the Empire's greatest weapon. All over Parovia, dragon breeders have either been killed, run out of business, or forced to work for the Empire, constantly expanding the Riders of Helgoth to greater heights.

For all people know that dragons rule the skies, and nothing could stand against them...

Yet, at the far Eastern edge of the Dagoldan Empire, the last remaining wyvern breeders continue to ply their trade. They struggle to keep their business alive, but still they press on. And one young man in particular, Valen Galar, the youngest son of the highest regarded wyvern breeders in all of Parovia, seeks to protect the wyverns from the power hungry dragon riders and their Imperial masters.

For finally, the Emperor has made a decree - the wyverns, the only known living creatures that could possibly face a dragon head on, are to be driven from Parovia... or driven to extinction.

Now Valen, his sister Hera and a young wyvern named Raenelir are on the run from the Empire and their servants, seeking refuge from one of the only countries still standing outside of the Empire's reach: Manidar, Seat of the Iron Queens, and the only country that they might find refuge.

But if the High Lords of the mighty Draconic Orders have anything to say about it, all three will soon be nothing but corpses hanging from the gates of the Emperor's palace...

Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment and share a bit of what you can expect from the Cycle of Wings.

A single POV to begin, but from the second arc more perspectives will come into play.

If you read the Cycle of Wings, you can also expect: a High Fantasy setting, lots and lots of dragons, wyverns and other scaled creatures, a 'progression' focused story where the central protagonist(s) grows more powerful over time, and also some fairly graphic violence and darker writing once things have progressed a lot more.

Current Schedule: Posts happen on Mondays and Thursdays, two chapters per day. (This is all I am officially committing to due to a full-time job and parenting a one year old, but when I can I'll post more often.)

Cover made using Canva's new A.I. design features (Magic Studio).
