Kayn Vallis had done it all.

Although dying prematurely, his first time on Earth was spent living life to the fullest. He had loved and experience heartbreak, laughed and experienced loss, cried and experienced happiness. And when he awoke to a new world, tasked with saving it from its imminent demise, he experienced becoming a Hero, and he loved it.

That was until he returned from the land of Esmera, having slain the dangers that threatened its safety, and now had no place left in a world that had progressed far past the realm of his understanding.

Kayn spent the rest of his days on Earth never truly living but always afraid of death lest he ended up back in that white room, thrown into the circle of rebirth all over again. So on his death bed, he vowed this life to be his last.

But Gods can be quite cruel. Their wishes far outweigh the importance of ours. Against his will, Kayn is thrown back into the loop and reincarnated once again, tasked with saving another world. But unlike before, the supposed Hero isn't even willing to lift a finger. Much to his discontent, however, this new world he's thrust into threatens to pull his past ways out of him whether he wants it to or not.

If there was one thing Kayn never wanted, it was to be a Hero, again.

 Cover was made using Shutterstock.
