Vincent, our protagonist, a debt-ridden 23-year-old man with a troubled past.

Living alone on the streets for over half of one's life, desperation can change them.

He'd become stubborn; faithfully clinging on to his dream of raising a daughter, to have some change, a purpose, in his dark and wasteful life.

And that's what he got.

Fiona, a princess from the Glendora kingdom renowned for the Queen's, no, her mother's eccentric desire for power.

Forced into blind dates, marriage alliances, and to be a chess piece, she ran away from home, in search of the king in her heart. Her father.

A father is what she got, after a fated encounter in the most unlikely of places.

Together, they embark on a journey together, across worlds, strengthening their cultivation and bonds.

But a king is still a chess piece, and chess pieces can be replaced.

"You... I don't see you as a true father."

The man tightened his lips.

"I'm not. That's fine. But... why do you see me as a replacement? Were our times together, our journey together, my life that I decided to give for you just an illusion in your eyes?"

All good things must come to an end. When one tragedy passes, another begins. Both times, tragedy awoke from a lack of paternal love.

So will the outcome be the same as before? A new beginning, a new life, a new purpose?

Or will Vincent's life just be devoid of family and happy endings? __________

Other things to mention:

~ Please read the auxiliary chapter. I WILL increase the pace of the story, so if you're a slice of life hater, bear with it, and don't drop till later chapters.

~ The story has gore and/or other disturbing content.

~ Please bear in mind my age. Some jokes I write may be funny in my ears, but not for you. I'm just an edgy, cringe teenager *cries*

~ I write slowly, and the quality is below-average as well.

To summarize, bear with the comedy, the slow pace, and my writing speed.
