The flames of the orange city touched the blackened sky. There screams and zealous prayers roused along the choking smoke as they begged for forgiveness, hoping that their god would forgive their blasphemous and treacherous acts. Though, the god loved his children, and gave them...penance.

Benjamin, an ex child soldier runs away from war to pave a new life for himself. Still, haunted by the sins and demons of his past, he does not know where his life must go or what his purpose even is. Whether his salvation be at the bottom of a bottle or the barrel of a gun, Benjamin's life is static, trapped in causality and a destiny that he had no choice in.

Though, he is transported to another world. Believing that this is merely a dream he sets out, only for the cruel reality of this world to come for him. Once again relentlessly hunted for his past origins and the strange new power he had developed. When all hope is lost, he runs into a red haired girl with strange ears. With the spark of revolution nearing a massive civil war, Ben must make a decision of who he must become. Will he once again walk the path of the drunken fool, or will he once again walk the path of a soldier?

Follow Benjamin through the years as he grows up in this new world. As he learns to love, laugh and smile...to regain his humanity. As he makes friends and a family. But, the world is still a harsh place and death is around every corner. Will Ben change and grow as a person, to try and become a better man and not just a slave to an empire or an army?

Or, shall he simply regress back into his more primitive and animalistic ways. Showing the people of this world how far a man can truly fall. A question will be asked, is Ben simply a man stuck in a bad situation, defined by the negative aspects of his life but is still a good person? Or is he simply just a killer in the body of a man, a slave willing to not defy the orders of his superiors.
