If you want long form storytelling, slow burn relationship building, and the occasional 'rug pulling' moment that will make you laugh, cry, and smile, then this story is for you! With swashbuckling action, 'who done it' mystery, and sexually charged slice of life drama, the lines of genre are blurred when our hero enters the various worlds of Isekai Mansion!</p> <p>-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p> <p>I wrote this story because I wanted to see an Isekai story that did things that aren't done nearly enough. Like the main character getting to go back to his world. Or getting to go to more than just one world. I tried to keep the setting grounded in earlier western portal fantasy stories like Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, etc.…but that still retains plenty of the Japanese influences.</p> <p>What to expect:</p> <p>This is a comedy story first and foremost but there is plenty of swashbuckling action and adventure. Also, a little bit of romance and innuendo goes on. The harem element is there but nothing extreme. The story starts a little more serious to get you into the adventure and fantasy of it, but it starts getting more humorous after the first several chapters. Also, I took liberty with tonal shifts in this story. Depending on what world Eric visits determines the tone of story telling I take to fit the genre of that particular world. For example, there's a Noir/Horror world, so the vibe is more in that direction when he goes there. But back at the mansion between worlds, the story is much more Slice of Life/Comedy/Drama driven. The first big story Arc is mostly action/comedy and just getting you used to the characters and how the world works.
