Allystra Whitespring was born with two Pacts, an unusual but not too uncommon sight. She was trained in knighthood from a young age and was good at it. With her Pacts of Space and Spirit, she had it especially easy with two extra mentors that also helped her.

At sixteen, she was admitted to the highly prestigious Valorheart Military Academy. They don't exclude anyone but train those who work harder than others. She was good at it, but she wasn't much of a team leader; she could keep her allies safe. And then, at the age of twenty, something unlikely happened and has only happened to three other people over seven-hundred years since the Pacts started. She gained the Pact of Time, but she didn't mention this to anyone. And only kept it to herself and her two mentors, Savestrus the Time Entity and Ylm the Soul Spirit.

At this time, she met Vaelyn Cloudmoor, a new arrival in Nightshade. She became infatuated with her, and at this time, her life went downhill—a big scandal for the Whitespring family.

The Shard Protectors took notice of her at this time, and she was sent out to patrol the Shard with her newly joined squad. And it was not easy for her to integrate herself into the team, as when people were sharing stories, they asked her about her stories. They were not pleased to hear them and heavily criticized her. Meeting new people telling the same thing as her parents and old friends, she was shocked, but her mentors had also told her about it. She didn't listen to them either, but hearing from strangers she had to be with for an extended period changed her thoughts. Her two Pact mentors were pleased as she finally realized that she had done wrong to the woman she had once been friends with. She hadn't been in contact with her for so long and could only secretly seek information about her, or the others would be angry; even then, there was little she could find.

It took time, but over the years that passed, she came to regret her past actions and probably would never interact with her again. All she could do was secretly think about her. Eventually, she was made a vice-captain as she showed remarkable progress with her combat abilities, quickly slaying any creature, man, or spirit with ill thoughts. And she only had her in the depths of her mind. This lasted until news came from her hometown, Nightshade, and the report was not good as she teleported once she heard them.
