I prefer this site because it hosted a DB of both original and translated works unlike Novelupdates but one thing this site is missing that Novelupdates has is the ability to post reviews. is this something that might be added? |

It's definitely something I'd like to add. It's been on my todo list for a while, but now that someone's actually asking about it it'll move up the list substantially. Unfortunately, I've not had a lot of time recently due to other things going on in my life. Hopefully soon. |

lol, I know that feeling. anyway again thank you for planning on adding reviews. IDK if you realized this or not but the ability to post reviews on this site is pretty important as you are an unbias source you have no incentive unlike the less reputable novel host sites to delete negative users reviews. I can't tell you how many of my reviews have been scrub from Webnovel. that's why I really appreciate you doing this. |

Wait, really? I can't promise I won't do any moderation (you have to do some to deal with spam/abuse issues), but I generally favor a pretty light hand WRT to content moderation, mostly out of lazyness. The real issue is how you handle things like bad-faith review bombing. I.... don't have a clear idea for what to do in that sort of context. So far I've not had to deal with it yet. |

If you go anywhere on the site you can see this in action. The problem with the practice other than clogging up the site and being an eyesore is when people spam a book review they alter what the book's true rating is. So you end up with underrated and overrated books. To make things worse the site encourages this by giving 5 exp for writing a review and doing other tasks once a day. This leads to people just posting “EXP” randomly all over the site. (you can find the list of tasks when you click the Earn Rewards tab under your profile picture found in the top right hand corner of the screen) The lack of moderation is so bad authors and translators use the lack of oversight to alter their book’s ratings. for example, Here's a link to WQL https://web.archive.org/web/20200324150744/https:// There sites a mess it looks good on the surface but a quick look into it and you realize their UI is shit, they are corrupt as hell, driven only by profit, and willing to kill off the competition by using practically slave labor, all in order to succeed. I have over 30 pages of unreleased documentation of their shit (most of its not too interesting but when you put it all together it's a pretty shit looking situation.) I also complained about their tag system that they have since tried to fix by adding a tag database in that post. I seriously worry if they are going to lead to the demise of Chinese translations due to how shitty they treat everything.
